FMG Repair Services’ opens brand new site in Chadderton

Accident repair specialist FMG Repair Services has opened the doors of another new state-of-the-art accident repair centre. The latest new site, in Chadderton, Greater Manchester, is strategically located to strengthen repair capacity in this area of high demand and bring a welcome jobs boost too, as the company continues its commitment to investing in the future of sustainable modern automotive repair.

With easy access to the M60 and M62 motorways, the brand new site has undergone an extensive development programme over the past 6 months to suit FMG Repair Services’ specific blueprint. At 27,000 sq. ft, the bodyshop has 35 repair bays, each brand new, pristine clean and installed with high quality equipment and the latest technology to repair a large range of vehicle types including EV, Hybrid and LCVs. Cosmetic aluminium repair is available at present and specific bays have been allocated for structural aluminium repair in the near future.

The site employs an experienced team of ATA-qualified technicians operating all the latest repair equipment and technology, and is recruiting for a number of new vehicle repair technicians as well as VDA’s, admin support and drivers.

Paul Wrigglesworth, Operations Director at FMG Repair Services, said, “Its exciting to launch another brand new facility and bring additional repair capacity and capability to the Greater Manchester area. As the leading comprehensive automotive repairer in the UK, we’re continually analysing those key developments that are shaping the future of car repair, and all of our new sites have been designed to provide our current and future customers with faster and more efficient services, regardless of fuel type, vehicle body material or next gen technology on board.”

“The Chadderton site doesn’t just meet the vehicle repair challenges of the local market, it also brings fantastic job opportunities too. The site is big, bright and airy, an inspiring, state of the art environment for colleagues to work in and a fantastic asset for attracting the best and brightest talent. We are open for business and look forward to warmly welcoming new and existing customers to our Chadderton site.”

FMG Repair Services opened a new site in Bristol earlier this year, just months after the official opening of its brand new purpose built site in Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire in October 2023. The company’s growth plans include investment and upgrade works planned for existing sites as well as purpose developed sites in new locations. The business employ over 1,650 colleagues UK-wide, with the capability to repair in excess of 100,000 vehicles per annum.
